Week 13 Picks continued.....

Last Week: (Dave 8-8, Gabe: 9-7)

Season: (Dave: 67-87-4, Gabe: 81-73-4)

Jacksonville (+3) at Tennessee

Gabe: Tennessee

Dave: Jacksonville - Given the Titans play this year, this would be the game they put everything together, start incorporating Randy Moss and let Chris Johnson go nuts but I'll believe it when I see it. The Jags might not be as bad as many think(although they aren't as good as their record would suggest either.) but I'll take them here for the outright win.

Denver (+8) at Kansas City

Gabe: Kansas City

Dave: Denver - Chiefs are tough to beat at Arrowhead and they owe Denver an ass-whooping after getting stomped at Invesco a few weeks ago. However, the Broncos are desperate and, eventhough this defense has given up a ton of points, I think they keep things close enough to where they only lose by a touchdown.

Washington (+7) at N.Y. Giants

Gabe: N.Y. Giants

Dave: Giants - Big Blue's pass rush has always found a way to terrorize Donovan McNabb and right now, both teams are headed in different directions. No Albert Haynesworth means nobody in the middle for the 'Skins to stop a suddenly motivated Brandon Jacobs in the cold. If Eli can not be Eli and not throw a few picks, I think New York routs here.

Chicago (-4.5) at Detroit

Gabe: Detroit

Dave: Chicago - Maybe the Bears are for real....maybe the Eagles had an off week last week. Time will tell, but you can't expect me to co-sign a Lions team led by Drew Stanton, can you? Bears by 10.

Oakland (+13) at San Diego

Gabe: San Diego

Dave: Oakland - WAY too high of a line here. The Chargers have done their typical 2nd half push and the Raiders have been slipping as of late, but Oakland's still tough defensively and they beat San Diego last time they played. I think Philip Rivers has a little bit of trouble with this Raiders defense and San Diego only wins by 10.

San Francisco (+8.5) at Green Bay

Gabe: San Francisco

Dave: Green Bay - Packers need this one bad with Chicago already a game up and having a gimme against Detroit. No Frank Gore means an already bad Niners offense gets a lot worse. A couple of sacks for "The Ultimate Warrior" Clay Matthews and I see Tramon Williams grabbing a pick off of an overzealous Troy Smith. Also, keep in mind, the Niners passed on Aaron Rodgers in 2005.......so the "Revenge Bang" theory is in play. Packers by 17.

Buffalo (+5.5) at Minnesota

Gabe: Minnesota

Dave: Buffalo - Bills should have beaten the Steelers, a far better team than the Vikings, last week but Steve Johnson got the Roberto Duran hands at the worst possible time. Brett Favre, fresh off a turnover-free game last week, will go back to giving it to the other team as the Bills have a pretty decent pass defense. If the Vikings are smart, they'll run Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart down Buffalo's throat, but we've been saying that all season and look what we've gotten from Minnesota. Vikings by 3.

New Orleans (-6.5) at Cincinnati

Gabe: New Orleans

Dave: New Orleans - If there's anything that scares me, it's that New Orleans has the tendency to take the foot off the gas and let teams back in it like they did with Dallas on Thanksgiving. That spells trouble against Cincinnati, who lives off garbage time touchdowns. Still, the Saints by a touchdown doesn't seem like too much of a risk against a Bengals team getting Mark Ingram's jersey stitched up.

Atlanta (-2.5) at Tampa Bay

Gabe: Atlanta

Dave: Atlanta - The Bucs haven't beaten a good team all season and the Falcons, while probably not the ideal "Best team in the NFC" , finds ways to win. I can see this one going back and forth late, with "Matty Ice"(which, I maintain, is the dumbest nickname ever) pulling it out for a 3-point W.

Pittsburgh (+3) at Baltimore

Gabe: Pittsburgh

Dave: Baltimore - Big Ben's hobbled, the Ravens are at home and this Steelers defense gives up far too much yardage now that Aaron Smith is gone. This has to be the game Joe Flacco makes his statement and we need a steady dose of Ray Rice as well(to salvage a terrible Rutgers football season and to gain me some fantasy points). This game will be close but I see it being decided on a obligatory James Harrison "roughing the passer" penalty. Ravens by 6.

Arizona (+3) at St. Louis

Gabe: St. Louis

Dave: St. Louis - There's nothing funny about this Cardinals team, Derek Anderson. Rams by 14.

Dallas (+5) at Indianapolis

Gabe: Indianapolis

Dave: Indianapolis - I vowed to never take the Cowboys again after they ruined my shot at a perfect 3-0 Thanksgiving by, well, being the Cowboys and blowing it against New Orleans. Peyton Manning is in desperation mode and I just can't see the Colts losing another in a row. Colts by 9.

Cleveland (+5) at Miami

Gabe: Cleveland

Dave: Cleveland - Is it time to declare the Dolphins are just not good? Brandon Marshall's out, Davone Bess has disappeared after a hot start and Chad Henne hasn't done anything to inspire me into thinking he's a legit QB. Meanwhile, I believe Colt McCoy is back for Cleveland and that plus Peyton Hillis is enough for me to take the points here. Browns by 7.

Carolina (+4.5) at Seattle

Gabe: Seattle

Dave: Seattle - There are two things I will never trust: a big butt and a smile and the Panthers to win on the road in Seattle. Seahawks by 14.

Jets (+3.5) at Patriots

Gabe: Jets

Dave: Jets - Finally, a Monday Night game worth watching. The Jets have had to eek out their last few wins but I think that shows more of their heart than it being a sign that they aren't elite. The Patriots have been impressive without Randy Moss but the defense still gives up a ton of points and, against a well-rounded team like New York, it's hard to like either team by more than a field goal. I'll take the Jets here though for the "upset".
