Week 13 Picks

The NFL Network brings us more Thursday night fun. Here's our take...

Houston (+8) at Philadelphia

Gabe: Houston - The NFL's uneven punishment policy is going to be Houston's gain. Although I think Andre Johnson was totally right in popping Cortland Finnegan in the head, he should have been suspended for at least a game. You can't rip a guy's helmet off and beat him down on the field, no matter how much he deserves it. That being said, I think this game becomes a shootout. Asante Samuel is out, so the Houston offense should be able to loosen up the Philly D. I think Michael Vick and the Philly offense continue their roll and win this game, but by less than a touchdown.

Dave: Philadelphia - The league's worst pass defense isn't facing Rusty Smith this time. Instead, the Texans get to chase down Mike Vick...and not just any Mike Vick....ANGRY Mike Vick. Vick and the Eagles are going to want to prove a point by throttling a team that is clearly inferior to them on semi-national TV(since NFL Network is still missing in some igloos and huts around America). I'm not saying Vick has a repeat of his Madden-like affair against Washington, but could I see this weak Houston defense getting carved up and left with their tongues wagging from having to run after Vick all game? Yes.....Eagles by 10.
